Breast Cancer Survivor
"I want others to see that breast cancer is treatable and survivable," says Signe Bonnet. Signe's discovery of a small breast lump led her to the team of dedicated professionals headed by surgical oncologist James Reilly, MD, at Methodists's Breast Care Center.
A pivotal moment came when radiologist Linda Sing, MD, used cutting-edge breast MRI technology to pinpoint additional, early-stage cancer in Signe's other breast, reshaping treatment to include bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Throughout her journey, Signe drew strength from what she calls the "F" factor — that special combination of family, faith, physicians and friends that helped her win the fight against breast cancer.
